Q:
What does “flaked” coffee mean?
A:Folgers Classic Roast®
Coffee in the 0.9-oz and 1.05-oz drop weights uses a patented flaking process to
more fully extract the flavor from each coffee bean. Due to the higher flavor yield
of flaked coffee, a lower drop weight is needed for the same rich, pure taste of
Folgers. Because flaking is a patented milling system, coffee flavor
strength for the 1.05-oz size is equivalent to a 1.50-oz traditional drop weight.
Q:
How and where can I purchase Folgers Products?
A:Call your local sales representative
or broker. You also can call our customer service associates at 1-877-MY-FOLGERS,
or view our office coffee distributor list
and search for a distributor near you.
Q:
What are the various pack sizes you offer?
A:We offer 0.9-oz and 1.05-oz pack
sizes, packed in fraction packs, Vacket Packs, and filter packs.
Q:
How many cups does a Vacket Pack make?
A:A Vacket Pack makes
10 to 12 6-oz cups of coffee.
Q:
How many pots of coffee do larger pack sizes (2.7 oz, 5.4 oz, and 6.3 oz) make?
A:Larger pack sizes of Folgers
Classic Roast Coffee make multiples of half-gallon brews; e.g., the 2.7-oz
pack makes 1.5 gallons of coffee, while the 5.4-oz and 6.3-oz packs make 3 gallons
of coffee (at two strengths).
Q:
Can I brew Folgers Coffee in a home brewer?
A:Yes, our coffee can be brewed
in a home brewer. However, it might result in coffee that is stronger than what
you usually make. Commercial packs of Folgers Coffee are designed
to make 60 to 62 oz of coffee in a commercial brewer in 4-1/2 minutes. Many home
brewers are designed for 48 oz of coffee in 7-1/2 to 8 minutes.
Q:
What is the best brewing temperature for coffee?
A:Widely recommended brewing temperatures
for coffee are from 190° F to 205° F. These brewing temperatures ensure
maximum flavor.
Q:
How long can you keep a pot of Folgers Coffee on a burner?
A:Approximately 30 minutes. However,
for the best flavor, it is best to serve immediately.
Q:
How long can I keep tea fresh after brewing?
A:If kept refrigerated, up to eight
hours.
Q:
How long does coffee stay warm in an airpot?
A:Up to six hours.
Q:
What is the shelf life of the coffee?
A:The shelf life of Folgers

proper conditions. The date of packing is found on the shipping box in the format
